Benchmark provides rule processing functions to evaluate unbilled account data using an extensive, and extensible, pre-defined rule set. Rules can be fired conditionally, based on patient case status, turned “on” or “off”, or set to “critical” or not to aid in work prioritization or establishing optional bill “hold” lists. Customer defined “default” values can be optionally defined for each data element that is evaluated.

Since rules are managed and processed by our rules engine, new rules can be defined and implemented quickly. Rule functions also provide the ability to define separate rule configurations for individual facilities, CBOs or other entities.

Management functions include the ability to view rules, edit various rule settings, and establish data element default values assigned by the hospital. Manager functions also provide the ability to review the bill “hold” list and “reset” or release individual accounts.
